Drug Safety candidates generally interact with health care professionals and consumers to obtain and follow up reports of possible adverse events (spontaneous/serious/non-serious) with the company's products and enter the information into a database. They may also assist in the preparation, compilation and submission of Adverse Event Reports to the FDA and other governmental agencies as required. Drug Safety duties may also include cleaning up data from SAE reports, writing narratives, completing consistency checks, and performing reconciliation from backlogs.
